Nollywood actor turned politician says he has no plans to return to the All Progressives Congress (APC) after resigning in 2022 to join the Labour Party.
Dockaysworld reported last month that Okonkwo dumped the Julius Abure-led National Working Committee of the Labour Party (LP).
He cited his commitment to a new Nigeria as his primary concern, expressing a preference to stand by principles rather than compromise integrity for victory.
In a fresh interview with Symfoni, the ex Labour Party chieftain said he would never return to APC because they are insensitive to the plight of the citizens and depriving Nigerians of basic necessities.
He stated he will not be found in any party that is not visibly committed to the welfare of Nigerians.
“I am not going back to anything (APC). My own Labour Party is not impressing me. They cannot hold a proper national convention. I cannot be there. I have better things to fall back to rather than returning to APC”.
