The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress was declared the winner of the Kogi election by the Independent National Electoral Commission late on Sunday night.

Ododo was declared the election winner after polling a total of 446,238 votes to defeat his counterparts, Melaye and Ajaka who polled 259,052 votes and 46,262 votes respectively.

However, Melaye disclosed that the misconduct that plagued Saturday’s election in all three senatorial districts was unusual in the state’s history and should not be allowed to stand.
