Labour Party Candidate Discloses Real Reason Behind Confidence Despite Current Government

Dr. George Muoghalu, the Labour Party candidate for the upcoming Anambra governorship election on November 8, has said he is not intimidated by the influence of the current government.

Speaking in Abuja, Muoghalu stated that the outcome of the election will be determined by the will of the people and God, not by political power or incumbency.

He explained that people in power have lost elections before, and this one will also be based on voters’ trust, candidates’ past records, and their promises.

According to him, leadership is given by God, and he is confident this might be his time.

Muoghalu, who was recently the head of the National Inland Waterways Authority, expressed readiness for the election and said he had never been more prepared.

He thanked the Labour Party, its delegates, and the people of Anambra for choosing him, even though he joined the party shortly before the primaries.

He believes their support was God’s will and promised not to let them down.

When asked if he could have won the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket had he stayed with the party, Muoghalu replied that he would have still contested but couldn’t predict the outcome.

He concluded by urging Anambra people to trust him with their votes, assuring them that he would deliver results that would make them proud.
