Female law students of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) have staged a massive protest against the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Cyril Ndifon over alleged sexual harassment.
The protest also sought to shine a light on alleged rampant demand for sex by some of their lecturers in exchange for grades.
Dockaysworld gathered that the young women were protesting years of abuse and calling on all stakeholders to rescue them.
They displayed placards highlighting their specific demands and singling the Dean as a major force behind the injustice.
Some placards read:
“let the girl with big breast breath. stop suffocating us”
Tensions flared during the protest as reports emerged about the faculty’s inability to meet deadlines, resulting in graduate students not being mobilized for Nigerian Law School.
Despite their peaceful demonstration, the protesting students allege that they are facing threats and intimidation from the university establishment. Instead of addressing their concerns and allegations, they claim that efforts have been made to silence them.
