A yet to be determined number of people have reportedly been killed following the collapse of a multi-storey building in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja.
According to the FCT emergency management agency, the incident occurred on Wednesday night due to heavy downpour.
The building is located at the ever-busy Lagos Street, Garki village, Garki II district of Abuja.
FEMA says Rescue efforts are on going as search for more victims intensify at the scene of the building collapse at Lagos Street,Garki Village opposite the Garki police station in the FCT.
The two storey building had served both residential and commercial purposes. 37 persons were rescued alive, while 2 othere were fatally injured.
