Mike Ejeagha is a multi-talented Nigerian guitarist, folklorist, singer and songwriter born on April 4th 1930 in Enugu state, Nigeria.
He is an indigene of Imezi Owa, Ezeagu Local Government of Enugu State.

The Gentleman’s music journey began when he was very young. He began singing with the Ogene group in elementary school.
The guitar became his favorite music instrument when he saw Moses Aduba aka Moscow, and Cyprian Uzochiawa play at Coal Camp in Enugu.
He learnt how to play the guitar from them and formed his own music band soon after perfecting his guitar-playing skills.
In 1950, Ejeagha formed his own band and released his first album titled ‘Omekagu’ with Polygram Records.

Atu Ona who was the controller of the Nigeria Broadcasting Service at the time, invited Mike to audition and later put him on a radio programme titled Guitar Playtime.
After playing on the radio for a while and producing his own musical programme, Gentleman Mike created an even bigger music group he called the Premier Dance Band.
