Miyetti Allah Leader Bodejo charged with Terrorism 

Detained leader of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Bello Bodejo, has been charged by the Federal Government on charges bordering on terrorism.


The federal government, has arraigned detained president of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Bello Bodejo, in court for an offense punishable under 29 of the Terrorism (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022. 

This occurred at the federal high court in Abuja on Friday following Bodejo’s arrest since January 23.

He was brought up on a three-count charge bordering on terrorism after being in the custody of the Defence Intelligence Agency’s (DIA) custody since his arrest. 

The accused is being tried for allegedly establishing an ethnic militia known as ‘KUNGIYA ZAMAN LAFIYA’ in Nasarawa without authorisation.

The judge, who said at least 10 family members of Bodejo would always be allowed in court, adjourned the matter until May 27, May 28, May 29 and May 30 for trial.

This came after weeks of back and forth on the issue of the custody of Bodejo with his counsel citing health challenges while under arrest.
