Motorists Cry bitterly as Lagos Govt sell their cars cheaply for driving against traffic [video]


A number of motorists have cried their eyes out after breaking traffic rules and being made to pay a hefty price of losing their cars in Lagos State.

Most of the defaulters had driven against one way traffic roads earning them the anguish of their cars being sold for significantly lesser than their worth.

A man whose vehicle was impounded by the Lagos Task Force could be seen wailing uncontrollably as his automobile was sold for less than ₦400,000 at Thursday’s auction.

49-year-old widow, Dorothy Dike and her son, Osinachi Ndukwe also wept profusely as their vehicle which they acquired for N1.8.million on hire purchase, was auctioned for N450,000

Meanwhile Shola Jejeloye, chairman of the Lagos taskforce, said this Thursday during the auction of forfeited and abandoned vehicles at the taskforce yard that offenders should not bother visiting taskforce offices for resolution, adding that the power to impound vehicles resides with the courts.
