Natasha Lists Names Of People Nigerians Should Hold Responsible If Anything Happens To Her

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central in the Senate, has warned that if she or her supporters are attacked in Kogi State, Nigerians should hold Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Kogi State Governor Ahmed Ododo, and former governor Yahaya Bello accountable.

She raised this alarm in a Facebook post on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, as she prepared for the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.

“My dear people of Kogi Central, I look forward to our peaceful Sallah celebrations today. However, should we be met with or infiltrated by violence, Nigerians should hold Gov Òdodo, Yahaya Bello & SP Godswill Akpabio wholly responsible,” she wrote.

Senator Natasha, who recently accused Senate President Akpabio of sexual harassment, also dismissed rumors that her planned visit to her senatorial district had been canceled.

Earlier, the Kogi State Police Command had advised her to cancel a scheduled rally for Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, citing security concerns. However, she urged her supporters to attend the event, emphasizing her responsibility as their representative in the Senate.

The Kogi State Government had also banned rallies and public gatherings on Monday, citing security risks. Additionally, the government halted fishing and other activities in the state to prevent any potential security threats, according to the Commissioner for Information, Kingsley Fanwo.
