Nigerian traditional ruler dies
Oba Olayinka Gbolagade Tiamiyu II, the traditional ruler of Ojo in Egbedore Local Government Area of Osun State, has passed away at the age of 77.
His death occurred late Sunday, bringing an end to a reign known for fostering peace and progress in his community.
Following the announcement, Bamidele Salam, who represents Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, and Ejigbo at the National Assembly, expressed his condolences to the people of Ojo.
He described the late monarch as a leader of strong character who served his people with dedication.
Salam reflected on the impact of Oba Tiamiyu’s leadership, noting that his wisdom and guidance were valued by his community.
He prayed for Almighty Allah to grant the late king eternal rest and give his family and subjects the strength to bear the loss.
