Nigerian socialite and transgender celebrity, Okeneye Idris Olanrewaju popularly known as Bobrisky, has taken to social media to express his appreciation for the treatment he has received from Nigerians, even after traveling abroad.
In a recent post, he admitted that he had expected life outside Nigeria to be different, but to his surprise, he feels even more valued at home.
Sharing his thoughts on Instagram, Bobrisky wrote:
“Big thank you to y’all treating me like a queen that I am here… I was thinking here was gonna be different, but honestly, y’all even treated me better here. I love you all.”
In a follow-up caption, he further reflected on life abroad, acknowledging the independence-driven culture but expressing gratitude for how Nigerians continue to make him feel special.
“Abroad life, nobody care about ur wealth cos nobody is paying nobody bills here, but I’m amazed how you all never make me miss home (NIGERIA). Y’all keep treating like that last born I am. Thank you .”
This statement comes after Bobrisky had earlier announced his temporary departure from Nigeria following his release from prison.
He was sentenced to six months for naira abuse but was freed after serving his term.
Upon release, he had hinted that he needed to focus on his mental and physical well-being, leading him to leave the country for a while.
