Religious critic and media personality Ifedayo Olarinde aka Daddy Freeze, has called out veteran Nollywood actor Nkem Owoh for rating Nigerian movies on par with foreign ones.
The retired OAP said this in reaction to an interview by Owoh wherein he praised the progress made so far by the Nigerian movie industry.
Owoh said:
“The storyline we take is better than any story from any Woods, we don’t have the technology, but we have the story.
We are a third world country coming up, and people should give us kudos for the level we have attained. I believe, with the stories and creativity among us, if we get the needed technology, we will go places.
If you check the time and how we started, you give kudos because we are making a tremendous progress in the industry. With the kind of technology we have now, I believe Nollywood has a very far distance to go positively,”PAY ATTENTION: Follow Dockaysworld on Instagram and stand a chance to win ₦100,000 in our top fans challenge FOLLOW US NOW to participate and win exclusive prices, airtime and gifts!!!

He wrote:
This is untrue and even he knows it. Our music is on par with the global standards; but our movies are still way behind. Let’s tell ourselves the truth please.
