Ondo Governor Declares Public Holiday


The Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has announced Friday, January 17, 2025, as a public holiday.

The decision aims to help residents prepare for the Local Government election happening the next day, Saturday, January 18.

In a statement released by the governor’s office, public servants are encouraged to use the day to travel to their hometowns and participate in the voting process.

The governor also called on all involved to ensure the election is conducted peacefully.
