People committing crime in the name of Biafra should be dealt with – Nnamdi Kanu

IPOB Leader Nnamdi Kanu has condemned the attacks of people in the south east in the name of Biafra.


Detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu has disowned the violence in the south East as he said those using the name of Biafra were criminals. 

Kanu who spoke today in the courtroom before the hearing on his bail application said that he condemned the actions of any who were hurting the people of the southeast. 

He stated that they should be dealt with adequately as they were not carrying out their actions in his name. 

The separatist leader while speaking to journalist later stated that if released, the unrest in the south east would end in 2 minutes.

He said:

“I suspect that some people in government are making money out of insecurity in the South East; they know that once Nnamdi Kanu is outside, in two minutes, this nonsense will stop.

“Who’s the idiot that can alter my orders in the South East? Nobody can. I Nnamdi Kanu, let me come out of this nonsense, and in two minutes, there will be peace in the South East.”

Earlier, Justice Binta Nyako had declined Kanu’s application for bail.

The judge, however, ordered an accelerated hearing of the case involving Kanu.
