Some Nigerian youths have staged a protest in Delta state against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Delta State which has taken a violent turn.
The issues raised by the protestors included alleged incessant harassment, molestation and arrest by officials of the anti-graft agency.
The protest however took another turn as over 20 trucks were burnt down.
The protest held at Otovwodo junction of Ughelli community, Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state.
Dockaysworld gathered that 3 persons were reportedly shot by the police in the course of restoring peace to the region.
The victims are currently in at an undisclosed hospital in the state.
The protest was tagged ‘#EndEFCC’ Youths protested profiling by the agency as they stated that not all rich young persons were fraudsters.
“EFCC, leave us alone, we are not criminals”, and “Stop the harassment, molestation, intimidation and indiscriminate arrest” were emblazoned on some of the placards by protesters.
