Politicians using tribalism as cover for evil – Peter Okoye speaks on marrying Yoruba woman

Popular Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye of the P-Square fame has said that politicians have kicked off tribal wars to hide their lack of performances.

Using his marriage as an example, Peter stated that he had married a Yoruba woman, Lola, which showed that the Igbos had nothing against Yoruba people.

He called on citizens to avoid being swept into the antics of politicians and they truly loved one another.

The issue of tribalism has become an issue following ploys by some political actors to use the method in discrediting opponents.

He wrote:

I am an Igbo man married to a Yoruba woman!
Igbos do not hate
Yorubas.
Neither do Yorubas hate
Igbos.
Politicians are using tribe as an excuse to cover their evil
They dont like you whether Igbo or Yoruba.
They only care about their pockets. Be wiser.
