Former Nigerian Coach Dies


Former Super Eagles Coach, Christian Chukwu has reportedly  passed away at the age of 74.

He died earlier today, although the exact cause of his death is still unknown at the moment.

Back in 2021, rumours falsely claimed he had died.

At the time, Chukwu addressed the issue during his 70th birthday on January 4, expressing how upsetting the false news had been.

He said, “I am terribly embarrassed with this news that I am dead. Several people have been calling me from across the world since the news broke. I am still investigating the source of the story.”

Widely known as “Chairman,” Chukwu was a key figure in Nigerian football, making his mark both on the field as a player and later as a coach.

His contribution to the sport in Nigeria remains unforgettable.
