Real reason I assaulted, bullied MohBad – Sam Larry confesses
Socialite Sam Larry has revealed why he bullied late singer, Mohbad.
Controversial Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry, has broken his silence regarding the ongoing feud and alleged assault involving the late 27-year-old singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known as Mohbad.
In a statement released on Friday, September 29th, following his arrest by the police as part of an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the Afrobeat star’s death, Sam Larry claimed that the dispute stemmed from unpaid debts.
According to Sam Larry, he had given Mohbad N2 million two years ago to perform at his mother’s annual remembrance concert in Ikorodu.
However, the singer failed to appear at the event, citing health issues.
When Sam Larry requested a refund, Mohbad allegedly claimed to have lost his phone and money during an NDLEA raid and expressed financial difficulties after leaving Marlian Records.
The dispute led to an argument, but Sam Larry insists he has not received any repayment since then.
Regarding his whereabouts at the time of Mohbad’s death, Sam Larry clarified that he had been in Kenya since August, searching for new African talent for an upcoming show he was organizing.
He denied any involvement in the singer’s death, emphasizing his lack of knowledge about Mohbad’s personal life, address, or medical history.
Sam Larry asserted that he did not flee the country and expressed his innocence in the singer’s untimely demise, attributing the dispute to a financial matter.

He maintained that he did not flee the country and had nothing to do with the singer’s death, as he knew nothing going on with the singer before his sudden demise.
