Biography

Rema was born on May 1, 2000, in the ancient city of Benin in Edo State.

His love for music started at a young age when he started rapping and singing.

Raised by his mom in Edo, he began singing in churches and even formed a rap group called RNA with his friend, Alpha P before he was discovered by D’Prince.

Education 

Rema attained his primary and secondary education at Ighile Group of Schools in Edo State.

He blew up not too long after completing his secondary school so he didn’t have the time to further his education just yet.

However, in January 2022, the singer announced that he had gained admission to the prestigious University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos State.

Family

Rema was born into a devout Christian family in Edo State.

He was raised by his father Justice Ikubor and his mother Mrs Ikubor in a small neighborhood in Benin City.
