The Nigerian House of Representatives has scheduled a public hearing to review 10 proposed bills aimed at amending the Federal Colleges of Education Act and establishing new federal colleges of education across the country.

Purpose of the Bills
The proposed amendments aim to:

✅ Establish new federal colleges of education
According to Rep. Adamu Tanko, Chairman of the Committee, the bills will help train more qualified teachers, which is crucial for Nigeria’s development.
He urged all stakeholders, including the Federal Ministry of Education, National Commission for Colleges of Education, National Teachers’ Institute, state and local governments, and NGOs, to actively participate.
