Rivers Government Reacts To Reports On Court Order Against Newly Appointed Administrator

The Rivers State Government has reportedly dismissed claims that a High Court issued an order preventing the newly appointed Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd.), from assuming office.

Dr. Edison Ehie, Chief of Staff to the suspended Governor Siminalayi Fubara, described these claims as false and an attempt to stir political tension.

He denied filing any lawsuit to challenge the appointment and urged the public to ignore the misinformation.

Ehie criticized the sources of the false reports, calling them “low minds” and emphasizing that even his name was misspelled in the fabricated story. He reassured the public that he remains law-abiding and committed to peaceful conduct.

He called on residents to disregard the misleading information and avoid unnecessary panic.
