In response, the President of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Clifford Paul, praised the Federal Government for appointing Ibas as Sole Administrator.

Paul, who also serves as the Administrator of Port Harcourt Local Government Area, described Ibas as competent and urged him to prioritise workers’ welfare, noting that local government employees are currently owed two months’ salaries.
