Portuguese player Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly agreed to a £172.9million (N91B) per year contract with Saudi club Al Nassr, after weeks of unemployment following his exit from Manchester United.
The player will reportedly become the highest earner in sport if the deal is completed.
Recall Ronaldo and Manchester United parted ways following a polarizing interview with sports journalist, Piers Morgan wherein he’d condemned the running of the club.
Ronaldo’s reported deal with Al Nassr is set to span 2 and a half years which would see him exit or renew at 40 years old, according to Spanish newspaper outlet Marca.
Though Ronaldo was reported to have favored a move to Champions league side, spectators await his performance at the FIFA World Cup and the options it might provide him.
