Senate President, Sen. Godswill Akpabio has congratulated Governor Hope Uzodinma on securing his second term as governor at the November 11, governorship election in Imo state.
The Senate president issued the congratulatory message in Abuja earlier today, where he praised Uzodinma for his resilience and commitment to genuine democratic practices.
He also said that the result of the election is a sign that good governance had conquered propaganda.
Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was declared the winner with 540,308 votes, defeating 17 other candidates in the election.
Senator Samuel Anyanwu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) garnered 71,503 votes, making him the first-runner up in the election.
