Popular gospel artiste, Judikay has announced her decision to walk away from the ongoing dispute with her former record label, Eezee Conceptz, disclosing her desire to prioritize the unity of the body of Christ over personal vindication.
According to the singer, her contract with the label ended in February 2024, but the aftermath has been marked by allegations of financial discrepancies and stalled communication.
Judikay revealed that during the closure meetings of her contract with Eezee Conceptz, she discovered significant financial discrepancies.
Following this, she requested an audit of her financial dealings for the first time since her signing.
However, her request for an audit was met with resistance.
She claimed that her former boss blocked all communication with her, effectively halting the closure process.
Despite repeated attempts to address the matter through legal channels, Judikay stated that the label’s lawyers argued she had no right to an audit, a position she claimed was contrary to the terms of their agreement.
Further efforts to obtain clarity through auditors were ignored, with the label acknowledging receipt of formal emails but providing no further response.
In a series of social media posts, Judikay shared how the situation had taken a personal toll on her.
The artist expressed the pain of seeing her family ridiculed publicly and witnessing the name of Jesus being dragged into the controversy.
This, she said, weighed heavily on her decision to step away from the ongoing legal and public battles.
Judikay added that her role as a member of the body of Christ was more important than any pursuit of justice.
In her Instagram post, she wrote:
“I have made the deliberate decision to walk away from this entire drama and I choose to prioritize the greater good and unity of the body of Christ. My role as a member of the body of Christ takes precedence, and I willingly make this sacrifice, drawing strength from the knowledge that Christ is of far greater worth than any earthly possession or vindication.”
She also expressed gratitude to her family, the gospel music community, and her supporters for their continued prayers and encouragement throughout this trying time.
