A viral video showing singer Wizkid's sad moments at his late mother's candlelight service has sparked emotions.
Popular singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun popularly known as Wizkid was seen almost shedding tears during the candlelight service held in memory of his late mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun, who passed away on August 18.
The emotional event took place in Lagos.
A viral photo capturing the poignant scene showed the Afrobeats sensation wearing dark shades, accompanied by his sisters as they paid tribute to their beloved mother.

Wizkid had been noticeably absent from social media since his mother’s passing.
The Balogun family had announced plans to honour Wizkid’s mother with a wake and tribute event scheduled for October 12.
The funeral will follow on the subsequent day at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) City of David in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Wizkid’s deep affection for his mother was widely known.
In 2014, he released a touching song titled ‘Mummy Mi’ as part of his ‘Ayo’ album, dedicated to mothers around the world.
In the song, he expressed his appreciation for all the joy his mother had brought into his life and vowed to provide her with the best things life had to offer.
While Wizkid had shared in a 2012 radio interview that his father had three wives, it was clear that his connection with his mother was a special one.
