Sony has announced price increases for some PlayStation 5 consoles in select markets due to challenging global economic conditions, but the price will remain the same in the United States.
The digital edition of the PS5, which lacks a disk drive, will see a price rise of over 10% in regions such as Europe, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand.
The price adjustments, which are a result of high inflation and fluctuating exchange rates, will also affect the standard PS5 with a Blu-ray drive in Australia and New Zealand.
There will also be some price increases in the Middle East and Africa, although specific details were not provided.
However, the price of the PS5 Pro, which was released in November with upgraded features, will remain unchanged.
These price changes will take effect starting Monday.
In Europe, the PS5 digital edition will now cost 499.99 euros, and in the UK, it will be priced at 429.99 pounds.
