The President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu has appointed a 400-level Economics student of the University of Ibadan (Ul) known as Orire Agbaje, into his presidential committee on fiscal policy and tax reforms.
The committee was officially inaugurated at the state house in Abuja earlier today as part of the President’s plans to revamp the economy and generate revenue for the country.
Others on the team include experts from both the private and public sectors.
Dockaysworld gathered that Agbaje is the president of The Tax Club, University of Ibadan, as well as the president of the Nigerian Universities Tax Club.
Tinubu said:
“The Committee, in the first instance, is expected to deliver a schedule of quick reforms that can be implemented within thirty days.
Critical reform measures should be recommended within six months, and full implementation will take place within one calendar year.”
