President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Folashade Arinola Adekaiyaoja as Deputy Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS).
According to Vanguard, this marks the first presidential approval for the role, aimed at improving the agency’s operations.
The DSS is organized to have three Deputy Directors General, and this appointment aligns with its established structure.
The decision, based on a recommendation from the Director General through National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, has been welcomed by many serving and retired DSS officers.
Adekaiyaoja, a native of Kogi State, is considered well-suited for the position.
