The Presidency has clarified that President Bola Tinubu is not the Minister of Petroleum Resources.

Special adviser to the president on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga revealed this in response to calls for Tinubu to resign from the Petroleum Ministry over his handling of the petroleum sector amidst unfulfilled promises, soaring fuel prices and worsening economic conditions.

Speaking on Channels TV, Onanuga said that that the Tinubu administration has appointed two ministers overseeing the petroleum sector, one of whom specifically focuses on gas.

They are Heineken Lokpobiri, Minister of Petroleum Resources (Oil) and Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of Petroleum (Gas).
