Tinubu presides over FEC meeting


President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently presiding over the first Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting for 2025 at the State House Council Chambers.

Before the meeting began, he swore in 21 Federal Commissioners for the Revenue Allocation and Fiscal Commission, the National Population Commission, and eight newly appointed Permanent Secretaries.

The new permanent secretaries are from various states: Onwusoro Ihemelandu (Abia), Ndiomu Philip (Bayelsa), Anuma Nlia (Ebonyi), Ogbodo Nnam (Enugu), Kalba Usman (Gombe), Usman Aminu (Kebbi), Oyekunle Nwakuso (Rivers), and Nadungu Gagare (Kaduna).

In addition, the newly sworn-in RMAFC commissioners include Linda Oti (Abia), Akpan Effiong (Akwa Ibom), Enefe Ekene (Anambra), Prof. Steve Ugba (Benue), Chief Eyonsa (Cross River), Aruviere Egharhevwe (Delta), Nduka Awuregu (Ebonyi), Victor Eboigbe (Edo), Wumi Ogunlola (Ekiti), Ozo Obodougo (Enugu), Kabir Mashi (Katsina), Adamu Fanda (Kano), Dr. Kunle Wright (Lagos), Aliyu Abdulkadir (Nasarawa), Bako Shetima (Niger), Nathaniel Adejutelegan (Ondo), Saad Ibrahim (Plateau), Modu-Aji Juluri (Yobe), Bello Garba (Zamfara), and Mohammed Usman (Gombe).

Also sworn in were Kayode Oladele from Ogun State as a member of the Federal Character Commission and Mrs. Olukemi Victoria Iyantan from Ondo State as a commissioner for the National Population Commission.

During the FEC meeting, the president also signed the Federal University of Environment and Technology, Tai (Ogoniland) Establishment bill into law.
