Tinubu sacks Southeast CBN nominee, Ruby

President Bola Tinubu has reportedly withdrawn the nomination of Dr. Ruby Onwudiwe as a member of the Board of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

The President via a letter to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio which was read on the floor of the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly requested her confirmation as the representative of the South East on the board of the apex bank.

Immediately after the news of her nomination, screenshot of her social media surfaced where she flaunted her support for Labour Party (LP) and its Presidential candidate, Peter Obi in last election and a display of the result of the presidential election at a polling unit in Lekki part of Lagos where the LP candidate won.
