Tinubu sacks top government official, appoints replacement


President Bola Tinubu may have sacked Dauda Ali Biu, as the Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

Dauda was appointed by ex president Muhammadu Buhari in July 2022 when the then corps marshal, Boboye Oyeyemi, retired from the service.

President Tinubu has now appointed ACM Shehu Mohammed as replacement.

The appointment was contained in a letter  signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume.

The letter said the appointment is in accordance with Section 7 (1) of the Federal Road Safety Commission Act, 2007 and takes effect from May 20th, 2024.
