Chef Dammy of Ekiti state has seemingly surpassed the record of of Hilda Baci after cooking for over 100 hours to claim a new milestone in endurance cooking.
Chef Dammy who began the challenge some days ago is said to be backed by a church and has made a number of dishes in the time span including a novel one she calls plantain sauce.
There’s been widespread conversations about the attempt and what it means for it to come so soon. Many have also commented on the adherence to the Guinness world record rules.

Though Hilda is yet to officially receive the certificate from the international body, a number of chefs seem on course to challenge the same record.
Chef Tope Maggie has also announced intentions to break the record in November.
