What Should Be Done To Seyi Tinubu After What He Said About His Father

Prominent APC chieftain and youth advocate, Comrade Isaac Balami, has defended Seyi Tinubu against recent criticism following his humanitarian tour of northern Nigeria.

Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja, Balami described the backlash as unnecessary and politically motivated, possibly due to calls for Seyi to contest the Lagos State governorship.

Balami praised Seyi Tinubu’s longstanding charitable efforts, highlighting his commitment to helping people across different regions and religious backgrounds.

He noted that Seyi has been involved in humanitarian activities for over a decade, long before his father, President Bola Tinubu, assumed office.

Addressing claims that the visit to the North was politically driven, Balami dismissed the accusations, stating that even if politics were involved, helping people should not be condemned.

He stated that many Nigerian leaders, both Christian and Muslim, engage in similar outreach activities during religious periods.

Balami also pointed out that Seyi Tinubu has supported individuals across party lines, including members of opposition parties, and has employed a diverse workforce in his organization, with over 50% of staff being Northerners.

He urged Nigerians to focus on encouraging young leaders who contribute positively rather than discouraging them with criticism.

According to him, Seyi Tinubu deserves recognition and encouragement, not attacks.
