Why I hosted fundraising event for APC Governor – Kate Henshaw reacts to backlash

Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw has broken silence following the backlash she faced for hosting a fundraising event for Imo State APC Governor Hope Uzodinma’s reelection bid.

Henshaw who is staunch supporter of Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi came under attack for anchoring a show involving the opposition party alongside comedian Okey Bakassi.

Responding to the critics, Kate Henshaw said she was only invited and she accepted to host the event.

The vocal screen diva said the opinion of the people will not stop her from speaking her truth.

She wrote:

Someone called me this morning to check the X app. I was invited to host a fundraiser alongside my colleague. I accepted. My prerogative.
