The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expelled Hon. Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, representing Ideato North/Ideato South Federal Constituency, from the party.
This decision follows accusations of misconduct, disobedience, and actions that conflicted with party principles.
The Ideato North Local Government Area chapter formalized the expulsion in a December 5, 2024, letter addressed to the state leadership.
The action stemmed from findings of a disciplinary panel convened in November to investigate allegations against Ugochinyere, who had previously been suspended by his ward for ignoring calls to appear before its leadership.
Key findings against him included neglecting party responsibilities, publicizing internal disputes, creating unauthorized party structures, and making statements damaging to the party’s reputation.
The PDP’s leadership at the local level concluded that such actions harmed its cohesion and integrity.
This expulsion means Ugochinyere is no longer affiliated with the PDP.
