She was particularly devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary, drawing strength from her Catholic faith.
Senator Owie referred to Lady Helen as his “pillar, peace, and partner in all things,” adding that her quiet strength and deep faith were the foundation of their family life.
She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, and many others whose lives she touched with her warmth and generosity.
The Owie family has asked for prayers for her peaceful rest and the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
