A sad incident happened in Lagos, where a 36-year-old woman named Abiola lost her life during a cosmetic procedure at a clinic in Lekki Phase 1.
The woman had gone to the clinic on Monday afternoon from her home in Diamond Estate, Sangotedo, for a buttocks enlargement surgery, often referred to as a Brazilian Butt Lift.
Upon arrival, a nurse administered an injection to Abiola as part of the procedure.
However, shortly after the injection, she reportedly lost consciousness and began struggling to breathe.
She was quickly taken to a nearby hospital in Lekki Phase 1, but unfortunately, she was pronounced dead on arrival.
The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the incident, and an investigation is underway.
The nurse who administered the injection, has been arrested.
The spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin said,
“The private driver of the deceased reported the incident to the Maroko division. Our officers visited the scene and the body was sent to a public morgue for an autopsy. The nurse who injected the deceased has been arrested and an investigation is ongoing.”
