The economic and financial crimes commission, EFCC, has reacted to the recent protest in Delta state against their activities, calling the protesters ‘yahoo boys’.
Recall that a protest had rocked Delta state with youths kicking against alleged profiling and harassment by the commission. The protest had later turned violent with people getting injured and properties burnt.
While reacting to the protest, the EFCC took to its official page to tag the protesters as fraudsters and promising to continue going after them according to their mandate.
The EFCC passed their message with the use of vernacular and posted a poetic piece to accompany it.
They wrote:
Yahoo boys came out to Protest Because the Eagle strongly detest
Their fraudulent Interest
But EFCC will continue to do her Best To locate, investigate and Arrest Anyone causing Economic Unrest
But wait o, before we begin
